 General information

The library of the Department of Education, Universities and Investigation has the purpose of giving the personnel which works in the Department bibliographic and documentary support. It is also opened to research workers, teachers, students or individuals which may be interested in the world of education.

The library has an important monographic and periodical collection. The access is free, within schedule. Although the lending of material is restricted to the personnel of the Administration, room consultations and reproductions are totally free.

 Consults: the catalogue of the material in stock is available through the computer in the lecture room or the library Web page

 Bibliographical information and search of information which the own library may not have, through the available sources, to the person who asks for it

 Lending: the library has a service of lending its material to the personnel of the Administration

 Service of reproduction: the library has a photocopier and micro-filing card reader to be able to reproduce from its own stocks, always respecting the legal standards in force

 Transmittance: the summaries of the last magazines and the last books received can be consulted in the library Web page

• The number of documents which can be asked to be consulted simultaneously in the room will never be more than six
• The lending of material as previously stated, is only for the personnel of this Administration. Reference works (such as dictionaries, encyclopaedias,...), magazines, the collection of works carried out by scholars wich are grouped in a section called "Grants" and the works of the section "Department Publications" can not be borrowed
• The maximum number of documents which can be borrowed is five
• The lending period is 30 days
• The renewal can be made personally, by phone or by electronic mail, provided the document has not been asked for by another person. This period of renewal will be of 15 days
• Copies of the materials which are not allowed to be borrowed will be made in the photocopier of the library by the users which will have the intellectual legislation of property in mind
